SPONSORSHIP & GRANT RECOGNITION
The Carleton Place Canoe Club has proudly served Carleton Place and the surrounding communities since 1893. As an incorporated not-for-profit organization, we are committed to providing safe, inclusive, and high-quality paddling opportunities for people of all ages and abilities. Each year, over 1000 community members participate in our recreational, competitive, and adaptive programs, made possible through significant investments in equipment, facilities, coaching, and program delivery.

We are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support of our sponsors, community partners, and granting organizations. Their generosity helps reduce barriers to participation, expand access to paddlesport, and ensure our programs remain affordable, safe, and welcoming for everyone. Simply put, the Carleton Place Canoe Club would not be able to provide the breadth and quality of programming we offer without their continued investment in our club and our community. We proudly recognize and thank the organizations below for the meaningful impact they have on our athletes, participants, and families.

Ontario Trillium Foundation
The Carleton Place Canoe Club is incredibly grateful for the longstanding support of the Ontario Trillium Foundation, whose investments have helped strengthen and grow our programs over many years.

In 2025, CPCC was awarded a transformative three-year, $293,000 Grow Grant to expand our adult recreation and fitness paddling programs. This significant investment is funding the purchase of new dragon boats, stand-up paddleboards, and recreational kayaks, while also providing staffing support to develop and deliver these growing programs.

As the Town of Carleton Place continues to grow, so too does the demand for accessible, high-quality recreational opportunities. This funding is helping the Carleton Place Canoe Club expand alongside our community by increasing program capacity, improving access to equipment, and creating more opportunities for adults of all ages and abilities to experience the physical, social, and mental health benefits of paddlesport.

The impact of this investment will be felt for years to come, and we sincerely thank the Ontario Trillium Foundation for its confidence in our vision and its commitment to building healthier, more connected communities.

McDougall Energy
Did you know that the Esso at the corner of Coleman Street and McNeely Avenue is a long-time supporter of the Carleton Place Canoe Club?

Through McDougall Energy's generous break-open lottery program, a portion of ticket sales purchased at the Esso is donated directly to the CPCC to support our summer camp and youth paddling programs. These funds help us purchase and maintain equipment, enhance program quality, and ensure our programs continue to operate safely and successfully for hundreds of young paddlers each year.

Community partnerships like this make a real difference, and we are incredibly grateful for McDougall Energy's ongoing commitment to the Carleton Place Canoe Club and our community.

The next time you need to fill up, consider stopping by the Esso at Coleman & McNeely. Supporting local businesses that give back to our community helps strengthen organizations like ours. Thank you, McDougall Energy, for your continued generosity and partnership!

Canadian Tire Jumpstart Community Development
The Carleton Place Canoe Club is proud to recognize Canadian Tire Jumpstart for its generous support through a $10,000 Community Development Grant awarded in 2026.

This funding enabled the CPCC to purchase new paddling equipment and provide additional staff support, strengthening our ability to offer safe, inclusive, and high-quality programming. The grant has made an immediate impact by helping reduce financial, equipment, and accessibility barriers that can prevent community members from participating in paddlesport and recreational activities.

With Jumpstart’s support, more children, youth, and individuals with disabilities have access to reliable equipment, knowledgeable staff, and meaningful opportunities to get active, build confidence, and experience the benefits of being on the water.

We are grateful to Canadian Tire Jumpstart for investing in our programs and helping us create a more accessible and inclusive paddling community.
