Fall Training Program
Our members, from novice through to our high performance paddlers had an exceptional summer. Once again, I want to thank all members, coaches, parents and volunteers for your tremendous contributions to the club his summer.
Now that school has started you might be asking yourselves what's next? The answer is we start are preparations for next season starting this Monday, September 14th.
The Canoe Club has designed a fall paddling program to meet the needs of those wishing to begin training for 2010 and/or wish to improve their technical base acquired this summer. The program is divided into 3 groups, High Performance, Jr. High Performance and Competitive (see program description below). All sessions will be supervised by Head Coach, Ryan Blair.
Our first session is on Monday afternoon. The Fall program runs until we can no longer practice on the water. We will then begin our Winter program. Information regarding our winter program will be sent out shortly. If you have any questions please contact Ryan at coach@cpcanoeclub.com or 613.464.9476. Registration forms will be handed out at your first practice.
Competitive Fall Program - The Competitive program is for paddlers wishing to improve their technical skills during a maximum of 3 sessions per week, running Monday and Wednesday from 3:30pm-4:30pm and Saturday's from 10:00am-11:30am. If any paddlers need to train at different time slots than the below due to prior commitments please seek to Ryan Blair.
Program cost = $40 monthly
Jr. High Performance Program - The Jr. High Performance program is for paddlers wishing to train a maximum of 6 sessions per week, running Monday to Friday from 4:30pm-6:00pm and Saturday's from 8:30am-10:00am. The program is designed for those who want to compete at a Provincial and National level in 2010.
Program cost = $70 monthly
High Performance Program - The High Performance program is for our elite paddlers who train up to 10 sessions per week. The program will run the same time as the Jr. High Performance program with the addition of morning practice on Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday starting at 6:30am. The program is designed for those who want to compete at the National and Inter-National level in 2010.
Program cost = $100 monthly
