2017 Fall Program

CPCC offers post season after-school fall program providing the opportunity for participants to take part in our on and off water activities after-school during the months of October and November.


Designed around the LTAD FUNdamentals & Foundations and Training to Train stages with a focus on fun, play, skill development and general endurance. Participants will be taught basic to intermediate paddling skills in canoe/kayak, as well as an introduction to dry-land training habits. Other activities include running, outdoor sports and dry land training.



Off Season Programs At a Glance:

2017-2018 winter training

U12 Functional Development 

October 30th - March 3rd

1 session per week on Monday afternoons beginning at 4:00pm

1 session/week - $175

*note that this program requires a minimum of 5 participants to run


U14 + Strength and Fitness Development

​October 30th - March 31st

Up to 5 sessions per week as per the weekly program. Sessions will be available at 6:00am before and 4:00pm after school.

Junior/Senior High Performance

October 30th - March 31st

Up to 11 sessions per week both before and after school as per the weekly schedule.

Adult Strength and Fitness Development

​October 30th - March 3rd

2 sessions per week on Monday and Wednesday nights from 6:00pm - 7:15pm

Monday session is coached, Wednesday sessions is open gym time.

Off Season Programs

2017-2018 Winter Programs

CPCC offers U14+ Strength and Fitness and High Performance programs that run from October 30th, 2017 to March 31st, 2018. These programs include cross training activities such as running, weightlifting, swimming, and XC skiing. 


CPCC also offers a U12 Functional Development program that will run from October 31st, 2017 to March 3rd, 2018. All programs are designed to align with CKC’s LTAD plan. Athletes in this program will focus on functional training and physical literacy in the weight room, as well as running outdoors. Participants may also participate in XC Skiing.


An Adult Strength and Conditioning program is also available from October 30th, 2017 to March 3rd, 2018. Please note that programs will not run if there are less than 5 participants.

2018 Spring Program

CPCC offers a spring after-school program providing the opportunity for participants to take part in our on-water spring activities after-school during the month of June. Similar to our summer weekly program, the program is a great way to get a head start on the paddling season!


Designed around the LTAD FUNdamentals & Foundations and Training to Train stages with a focus on fun, play, skill development and general endurance. Participants will be taught basic to intermediate paddling skills in canoe/kayak, dragon boat and war canoe. Other activities include water safety sessions, field games and swimming.







A variety of programs are available during the off-season for both youth and adults based on Canoe Kayak Canada’s Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) plan. These programs focus on keeping athletes in top physical shape throughout the year incorporating a variety of dry land training techniques and exercise programs.
